Each essay speaks to us just as God speaks to us, through scripture, and storytelling and offers something for everyone seeking to deepen their connection with God.

Thank you for your interest in my first book. This has been an amazing faith journey as well as a steep learning curve, in writing, editing, publishing, and marketing.

What I have learned is that reviews are very important to the success of a book. Amazon publishes over 500 books every day and most people choose according to the reviews they read.

I would be grateful for your honest review on Amazon when you are finished; it only takes a few minutes of your time and will help to share the word of God for those who are searching for deeper meaning in their lives.

Also, if you like my book it would be helpful for you to post it on your favorite website or social media page. I am on a limited budget for marketing (publicists charge $6,000-10,000) so your reviews and posts are crucial to the success of my book.

Into The Garden has quickly become one of my favorite go-to books for meditation and inspiration. Cathy’s down to earth, easy to read and very authentic stories with beautiful scriptural references woven in at just the right points has been both inspiring and soothing, particularly at this point in time. This is a book that I’ll reread many times and give copies to friends as a gift. Truly a beautiful and uplifting book.

The author shares her life experiences (both good and bad) and chronicles her spiritual journey as she navigates through these experiences. She uses her love of nature and gardening as metaphors of lessons learned along her journey. I especially enjoyed the use of scripture used throughout the book to accentuate God’s word and presence in all situations.

Great book where the chapters are just a couple of pages. Many insightful metaphors, analogies, visualizations using the scriptures. I am a devout Christian and have found a lot of wisdom in Cathy’s words. If you love the Bible you will love her insights. If you need live application of scriptures in your life, you will have a good dose of it in this book. There are lots of clever passages to clarify spiritual knowledge. One can use it as a devotional book for inspiration and meditation on a daily basis. I highly recommend it!

I love this book! I thought I would breeze through it and put it on my shelf. Instead, I found myself drawn in a personal way, and wanted to take it all in! Cathy writes from her heart, experience, faith, and knowledge and it’s all relatable. I am a gardener, too, and especially like how she includes nature to tell the story. This book is a refreshing surprise!

Gentle spiritual reflections

It was amazing!
Read 2 times

The best guides to the spiritual life are those who come to us as fellow pilgrims on the journey of faith and who invite us to join them as companions along the way. Cathy Lynn Gregory is just such a guide, and in her book “Into the Garden” she draws on resources from scripture, from literature, from the arts and from her own experience of the sacred to beckon the reader toward a deeper awareness of those holy moments and holy places that have the power to transform our everyday lives.

This is a book to savor for its honesty and insight, to use as a resource for an adult church school class or a small group discussion, and to give to those who are your own companions in the journey of faith.

Highly recommended!

“an inspirational book with strong lessons for a rich spiritual life and spiritual awareness. This is a little treasure that features rich reflections on the biblical passage that speaks of “a time for everything,” and in this book, the author reflects on the meaning of being born, the significance of death, fear and worry, the symbolism in planting (preparation), the power of God’s word, tending the seeds of the life we have received, patient waiting and longing, understanding and dealing with temptation, healing, forgiveness, divine joy, hope, and a lot more. This book looks at our spiritual life like a garden and gives readers tools to tend it properly.

Cathy Lynn Gregory writes in a voice that is pensive and compassionate and she shares her personal journey with readers. It is interesting to read how her experience of cultivating her own garden becomes an inspiration that opens doors to a deeper understanding of the scriptures. Journey with her into her East Texas home as she enters into communication with God and gets the inspiration that results in this classic work. This book is a companion that readers need to navigate the different spiritual seasons of life. Written in a down-to-earth, easy-to-understand, and engaging style, the book unveils the beauty of a life in which we allow God’s word to speak to us and guide us. Into the Garden: Lessons on a Spiritual Journey is a spiritual gem, a book that explores the different seasons of the soul and how to authentically connect with the power of God’s endearing love. It is filled with insights and powerful lessons on the spiritual life.”
